Best regards, Rob L. Date: 01/08/19 04:57 Re: Chasing a Chicago Great Western Freight -- Walt Dunlap Author: rhburn3 I was with Walt on the chase. It was really thrillilng to get the CGW photos. What is remarkable is that as a high school kid, we were able to get this operation. The next day, we took train 14 from Hayfield to Minneapolis, my only ride on the CGW.

What kind of speed did the train make? Victor A. Baird http://www.erstwhilepublications.com Date: 01/08/19 20:00 Re: Chasing a Chicago Great Western Freight -- Walt Dunlap Author: rhburn3 I would suggest about 45 MPH. The line had ABS Block Signals.
