MKT GP40 and a GP38 - May 88
Author: gcm

230 and 300 are southbound on the GH&H (Galveston Houston & Henderson) in the south part of Houston - probably headed to Galveston (the Salty?).
This was joint trackage between the MKT and UP (MKT and Missouri Pacific earlier).
Six months later this was unfortunately all UP.

Looks like all my MKT stuff, did that railroad ever run on a sunny day?

An average good train shot back in those days, but certainly priceless now-a-days. I wonder how many times someĀ railfan passed up taking this shot? :^)
