I see they are marked as a Form 19X. Are they the same such as a Form 19Y, etc? I have quite a few of these types in my collection and have always wondered about these types. I would beiliev each road had their own "style" of form to issue these. Thanks for sharing these. I for one appreciate it. Ben

Sometimes these Xerox copied orders would be dated months before the clearance was issued.
There might have been rules that an operator had to deal with dictating which form to use - some roads just copied the green flimsie on a Xerox machine (harder to read, oftentimes), the Milwaukee in my experience always used a different form when these started to be used. In time, orders started to look much like the printed bulletins look like today - I'm sure technology led to the eventual discontinuance of orders and everything became a bulletin instead. I'm certain there are operators out there who lived through this transition (I'm not a rail, just used to hang out a lot when I could where and when an operator would allow it). Coming out of the 1970's doldrums, there was a heck of a lot of bad track in my neck of the woods and some train order sets had maybe one flimsie and up to 9 mechanically reproduced slow orders.. I've avoided posting these copied orders up until now - since this was a complete set for this day, I put them in. 1005 Date: 01/11/19 10:35 Re: TOOTD 1/10/1981 Savanna, IL Author: MILW86A Ross was C.E.
