That is the former Temple Hill line r.o.w. going out of frame to the left. behind the photographer the mainline will go back to two tracks east to Allentown. Train is coming up the Blandon Low-Grade. A couple years later it looked like this and the Temple line was gone, only the Blandon Low Grade remained. Progress, the single track here is now a choke point for NS.
