In Nov 1974 the westbound Rio Grande Zephyr emerges from Moffat Tunnel at Winter Park,Co.

Those are some good, rare shots.  I have seen very few pictures taken of the RGZ from that location.  Note the typical short, mid-winter consist.  Also note that the Silver Sky still has it's marker lights.  The Rio Grande removed them in the mid-70's for some reason.

I liked it so much I had always wanted to model it in HO.

I knew a fella that stood about 20ft outside that tunnel opening when a train came out of it.  The wind gust from the train  blew him to the ground.
