Location : Lake Point, Utah...south end of Great Salt Lake on old LA&SL Line...LA-Salt Lake Camera: Exacta VX w 400mm Panzerfaust Lens UP's 6904W...One of UP's premier Van trains (with a BN Caboose) westbound into the sun headed for L.A. Author: FloridaTrainGuy With longer and longer trains and 2 or 3 mid-train DPUs getting more common, the idea of a two-engine locomotive makes a lot of sense. Easy enough to add steerable trucks of course which would make them more acceptable.
