LV Alco C628's Pose

Stopped by the LV's Coxton, Pa yard in 1974 on my way to photograph the D&H PA's on an excurtsiuon to Starruca Viaduvct and got lucky with a nice lineup of LV C628's.

Great couple of LV C628 threads Dale.  The 633, 637, 640 and 641 in the 2nd group are ex Monon.  Notice that you also posted the 628 in both the white and the red schemes.

Okay, dumb question:  Did all the LV C628's get the red or did some retain the white when Conrail arrived?  Just curious.

A few of the white ones made it to Conrail.  I remember how ugly they were after Conrail put a big black rectangle on the side to paint out Lehigh Valley.
