An F3 and Some GP's in Northern Louisiana
Author: BNSF-6432

While coming back north from Shreveport in December of 1980, my dad came across a northbound KCS train at Minden, LA where he shot it at a couple locations. I'm not real familiar with the area but as I understand, this is now the Louisiana Southern WATCO line.

1) KCS 4051 leads a GP9 and a GP7 through some rough track at the Minden, LA yard 12-80

2) North of Minden, 4051 rounds a slight curve as the EMD's fill the air with blue smoke.

3) An empty KCS flat is first in line behind the power likely heading for more lumber.

Thanks for posting these. That three porthole F makes these photos even better.

In photo no. 2 there is a broken track bolt on the near rail joint ahead of the locomotive.

Nice catches---KCS is always a good subject.
