Nostalgia & History > Santa Fe the "Beep" #1460 at CleburneTx -- July 79Date: 01/22/19 06:29 Santa Fe the "Beep" #1460 at CleburneTx -- July 79 Author: gcm Originally a Baldwin V0-1000 built in 1943, Santa Fe completely rebuilt it (one of a kind) at the Cleburne,Tx shops in 1970.
It continued working in to the BNSF era and was retired in 2012. Luckily it was saved and is at the Western America Railroad Museum in Barstow,Ca. Here it is working some cars from the yard at Cleburne in front of the Santa Fe station. I read where the "Beep" came from a blend of "Baldwin Geep".
