Nostalgia & History > SD45-2 Week Continues!Date: 01/22/19 09:30 SD45-2 Week Continues! Author: overniteman Conrail EMD SD45-2's 6658 & 6659's trip West is slowed up by trackwork.
South Fork, Pennsylvania. August, 1996. Date: 01/22/19 09:44 Re: SD45-2 Week Continues! Author: overniteman In the area where the Conrail Dash 2's roamed, there was always a coal train around, either loaded or empty.
At where PRR fans consider as "sacred ground", a helper set (6663 & 6665) shove empties West. Gallitzin, Pennsylvania has a population of about 1,500 folks and the whole town is roughly a mile square. There are times when the railfan population is close to the towns and from the amount of photos that have been taken or produced in that "square mile" over the years, you'd think it was as big as Texas. Gallitzin, Pennsylvania July, 1988. Date: 01/22/19 09:54 Re: SD45-2 Week Continues! Author: overniteman The 6656 & 6661 have Eastbound coal loads in their grasp. They're going make sure the train gets down to Altoona and flat land safely and in one piece.
And another thing about Gallitzin, it's probably one of the most mispelled railfan locations ever Gallitzin, Pennsylvania. October, 1995. Date: 01/22/19 10:54 Re: SD45-2 Week Continues! Author: krm152 Very nice series.

Nice set of shots per usual... Posted from Android |
