OTD: SP's obs 'Oakland' ('79)

SP's obs/biz car 'Oakland' .... which I have has #141 but not sure that's correct. What's the history of this car? When did it lose its SP scheme? What's is its current status?

sold by the UP, it had gotten SP colors back by then

Number is correct; it's owned by the Golden Gate Railroad Museum, soon to relocate to Schellville CA.

It was commonly used by the Chief Engineer, as Division Engineer and other positions I probably rode more miles in it than any other car.
IIRC the Amtrak paint scheme requirement (to let the car ride in an Amtrak schedued train) was relaxed and the car went back to "Sunset" silver with red lettering band before the car was sold.

Also car assigned to division superintendent  Western division. Cars painted in Amtrak colors in 1974. Only cars not painted was the Sunset, Del Monte, Airslie
