Trains from Various Railroads -- Rick Burn

1. CNW SD40-2 6804 southbound leaving Janesville, WI with an I90 bridge in the background in April 1995.

2. NS east of the Marietta Street Bridge in Atlanta, GA with an eastbound train. Tracks on the right are CSX. September 2003.

3. NW GP9 506 with Train 15, the Pocahontas, at Norfolk, VA in September 1968.

4. PRR Train 49, the General, about to arrive at Union Station, taken from the Polk Street Bridge, Chicago, IL in December 1965.

5 and 6. Coming and going, SP 3206, Train 102, the City of San Francisco, State Highway 40, W. Warren, UT in March 1970.

Nice Shots!! Old N&W Railway passenger train crews based in Roanoke, VA and worked to and from Norfolk, VA  Crewe, VA based engine crews worked to and from Norfolk, VA. Photo #3.

Old Pennsy RR passenger train and engine crews based in Fort wayne, IN and worked to and from Chicago. Photo#4

Old SP RR passenger train crews based in Sparks, NV and Ogden, UT and worked between Ogden and Sparks. Photonos. 5 and 6.

Before the Amtrak crew take over I was told  that the engine crews worked a pattern of a round trip one day and then off one day.
Do you know if that is correct?
