Here are some recent scans from HBG Pa and environs from back in Summer 1977

Shot 1.  St Regis Paper RS1 404 at the Harrisburg Diesel Shops west end on August 2 1977. Have this as an ex Rutland Unit, their 404. Sold to the Norwood and St Lawerence Rwy then to St Regis/Champion and as seen in this shot on it's way to Naporano in Newark Nj.  Not sure who chopped it tho.

Shot 2.  This GT SD40 5921 was on an EB Grain Load and was taken very near what is now the Yard Office and Fuel Pad on the NS. Shot taken in summer 1977. Saw this particular Ubit more than any others GT SD40's that CR leased back then.

Shot 3.  CR SW1200M 9303 in CR Blue with an Ex LV Caboose trailing as it makes it's way thru the Rutherford Yards on 3 August 1977.  9303 is from what I can find the only ex RDG VO1000M repainted in CR Blue. This was ex RDG 2703. Still working ex RDG tracks. The caboose is CR 18631 CR Class N5G and ex LV 95037.

These next 3 are at Rutherford summer 1977.

Shot 5.. CR ex PC/PRR GP30 2201 has one of the GP9B's in tow as it heds back into the yard to do some work. That is what was known as R Twr there on the right at the Rutherford Yard West End  Julky 1977.

Shot 6.  Another of the lease units CR used. UP GP9B 156B at Rutherford, Spring 1977. It was coupled to CNW SD40 921 this day. Saw and shot a few of the UP GP9B's back then, tho I never saw them with the ex PRR/PC GP9B's which would have made for a nice shot as UP and PRR were the only roads that ordered new as a B Unit from EMD.

Shot 7.   CR SD45 6221 leads a CR U33B/GP9B/GP40 as they make their way to the west/south end of Rutherford. Summer 1977.

That St Regis Paper chopped nose traded good looks for good visability.
