The TBX at Niles Tower early 1960's

The TBX Bayshore to Oakland train is just coming off the Dumbarton Line and crossing the WP at Niles Tower. Caboose 1314 is bringing up the rear. Notice the giant letters saying Niles on the hillside.

Looks like all friction journals.  Not a roller bearing in sight.  Niles Tower brings back memories of when I worked freight Pool 4 between OAK and Watsonville Jct.  Keep those old photos coming, Bob.
