Nostalgia & History > OTD: NYC GP20 @ Argentine '70Date: 03/15/19 04:28 OTD: NYC GP20 @ Argentine '70 Author: valmont Here's a bonus I found while shooting @ AT&SF's Argentine engine facility on Mar. 15, 1970. Got to KC fairly often back then and it was never a disappointment. Just peeking in on the left was a bit of the nose of a more common sight there, but this NYC GP20 was worth a shot, even coupled, or a rear view.

I'll take that other one with the bulldog snout though. Good grab on this one, and I could not agree more on KC in the early 70s. Railfan Mecca!!

Looks like the delivery scheme to me, with the white sill stripe painted out by PC. Nice catch, at any rate since NYC only had 15 of them, originally numbered in the 6100's. |
