Author: 3rdswitch . . . back in MAR '90, SP's Torrance Switcher is returning from a lumber distributor in Gardena, CA, with one empty. Originally this former Pacific Electric line ran through to Redondo Beach. Today as on this day, the spur stub ends at the lumber place which is still in business and still receives rail loads on a regular basis.

The first thing I noticed of the location was it's ruggedness. Looks like ties and rail were just laid on the sandy soil and a little bit of dust filled in between the ties over the years. Nice photo.
