The first is the backshop main building with the ATSF Ry. sign identifying the facility.This image was hard to get as there were usually cars in the "A" Yard blocking the view.The second photo is the Redlands Loop fomer crossing of the PE in downtown San Bernardino complete with PE substation in the background.Notice the diamond has been removed.The last image is ATM/Yardmaster T.R.Timmy Graham at the old yard offiice in the former freight house.Timmy was an all around good guy and excellent railroader.Bill Webb

#2 is really special and meaningful to those of us who remember what it was like back then, even to the point
where the diamond was still in place and used regularly at times when no one was around!

Thanks for these images from my old stomping grounds. I understand that there was once an interlocking tower in ancient times at that crossing in image 2. Wag.

In 1907 the crossing was protected by Tower No. 19. The Santa Fe called the tower E Street and it was taken out of servive between June 8, 1941 and Septmber 7,1941, based on LA Division timetables.
