Nostalgia & History > Just another Super C . . .Date: 05/14/19 07:00 Just another Super C . . . Author: 3rdswitch . . . back in the seventies Santa Fe's Super C was just another train to photograph. In MAR '73 the Super C as just slowed to fifty to cross over at Daggett, CA, to the south track before stretching it's legs back to the Special Instructions allowed seventy nine mph allowed for this freight train only.

Question: Any named freight trains left in 2019? I assume there are more than one "nick-named" trains. I'd throw out a potential one that seems more of a "market channel" UP's Cold Connect. The local BNSF freights out west would be the Barstow to San Diego "Dago" and Barstow to Watson yard in Wilmington, CA "Harbor Train".
