This is the last in my OTD series which I began on July 11, 2018 .... a BN Directors Special, according to the note on Bruce Black's slide mount. It was another of Bruce's favorite place to shoot trains, the eastern plains of Colorado, this one at Akron, CO on May 14, 1976.

I think this train went through alliance, me a couple of days. At the time this was a pretty regular event every year. The senior management of the railroad, board members and other prominent guests would ride the multi day trip.

When they got to alliance, ne it was an overnight stop. All the passengers were given the chance to tour the facilities and meet the employees. I remember we were asked to wear a tie and suit coat to work. In the stretch of about 3 hours I got to meet and talk with John Budd, Robert Downing, Lou Menk and various Board members and BN managers. What an evening.
