Rare gem - Original CNS&M "Silverliners" in the summer of '62...
Author: ATSF100WEST

If this doesn't get your pulse racing, doubtful little will. I don't think I've ever seen a nicer image of a North Shore train outside of city images. To think it would cease all operations inside of seven months is beyond sad. Parts of the old right-of-way are visible around Racine, but even using "Historic Aerials", I could not pinpoint this location, using a 1955 aerial view. Original Photograph © 1962 by Richard H. Young; Bob Finan Collection of Railroad Photography.

That's a great picture, so sad it wouldn't see another summer.

Found it!  Spring St. in Racine.  That power pole is still there.

Thank you very much mp51w!

I went to street view in GE3D and screen captured this angle, looking SSE, which shows the end of that home.

Will add that info on the slide mount.

Thanks Again!
