The back side of this photo from Ken Shattock says, "West Side Lbr #14 #8 Belu Siding 7-22-58  Steve Kistler".  

I assume Steve Kistler is the photographer.  The name of siding "Belu" is the best I could make out from Kistler's hand writing. [EDIT] Baker siding, about a mile east of Tuolumne..

Cool photo!  But I checked Mallory Hope Ferrell's book West Side Pictorial and there is no reference to a siding named "Belu" or anything close to it.

 

Should be Baker Siding, a mile-and-a-half out of Tuolumne.

Noted by the fact that the track is actually straight and not hung off the edge of a cliff.

Stan Kistler photo at Baker siding, about a mile east of Tuolumne.

Looks busy yet it's less than two years from the end of operations, great picture of one of the few areas
where straight and flat were found in the same picture.
