Maybe an LAHOT or LAEST Date: 06/11/19 20:42 Re: SP Eastbound, Near Ordway, San T. Canyon, 1985 Author: FiveChime OK, Thanks
Regards, Jim Evans Date: 06/12/19 10:02 Re: SP Eastbound, Near Ordway, San T. Canyon, 1985 Author: Zephyr Nice shots! Also interesting to note some of the original SeaLand stack cars on the head end with the old bulkhead design, which proved to be less efficient than the Thrall Car designed stack cars that came later that year. This is most likely an LAHOT (Los Angeles to Houston TOFC) train given the consist. 1985 was my final year on the good 'ol SPRR!

SP also ran Sealand stacks on the LAAVT. In the early to mid '80's the LAAVT departed LATC under the cover of darkness. Allen Posted from Android Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 06/12/19 11:42 by bradleymckay. |
