I'm not 100% sure of the camp number. Was Camp 5 in Oregon? I assume the photographer was H.F. Stewart. The locomotive was built by Baldwin. The Wikipedia Weyerhaeuser entry is here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weyerhaeuser Enjoy, Marty Bernard Date: 06/12/19 18:25 Re: Weyerhaeuser Timber Co. 2-6-6-2 #8. Author: callum_out Wasn't 5 (and 8) on the Woods line out of Klamath Falls? Guess I need to buy Jeff's book.

Author: JDLX Yes, the #8 worked out of Klamath Falls 1940-1956, which was the end of the rail operations west of Klamath Falls. The maps in Jack Bowden's book don't show a Camp 5.
Jeff Moore Elko, NV Date: 06/13/19 12:06 Re: Weyerhaeuser Timber Co. 2-6-6-2 #8. Author: fbe This is an interesting photo. The steamer has both high pressure and low pressure cylinders. The tender seems to have started life as a tank car. The water tanks on the loco running boards look to be cut down from when #8 was a 2-6-6-2T locomotive. Hard hats and steam engines seem out of place together.
