Nostalgia & History > Was this depot on SP's Ocean View Line ever built?Date: 07/23/19 05:02 Was this depot on SP's Ocean View Line ever built? Author: hogheaded TO member sphogger kindly sent me an elevation and floor plan for the "Depot and sheds at Holy Cross Cemetery", a station on SP's former Ocean View Line (later, San Bruno Branch). I have digitized it, as seen below. You can find a larger version HERE on my website.
Although it is undated, I presume that the drawing dates to the time of Holy Cross Cemetery's founding in 1887. But, was this depot ever built? Did the large stone building (2nd below; 1953; photographer u/k) that served as the cemetery portal / depot come later? Author: hogheaded Unfortunately, I have not run across a 19th or early 20th Century map showing the Holy Cross station site.
