Waiting It Out

A string of Norfolk Southern units (4 ALCO T6's & 6 EMD GP9's) is sitting in Eastern side of Conrail's Oak Island yard.

This spot was usually the last place locomotives waited beore being moved to Naporano Iron & Metal, a few blocks over.

Newark, New Jersey.
November, 1986.

Thanks for sharing.

I remember those T-6's working in Cleveland in the mid-70's. Fun to watch. Sorry to see them go. I'm sure the jobs they worked on are gone too.
