On an outing through western Kentucky on August 19, 1989, DocJohn and I stopped by Midwest Coal hauling in Paradise KY to check out their operations and motive power.

PHOTO 2 - 3 MCH CF7’s ex AT&SF rebuilds
The day may have been hazy but the coal business outlook was bright back then.
