Please any TO members feel free to download, and add some kind of Las Vegas type music to this video, and re-post here, just for fun! I have many Ideas, but simply just dont have the tech or time to do that. Im sure many Elko Railroaders have memories of this.

Jim ...

Thanks for the blast back to the 1990's ...
I'm not a railroader, but I spent numerous nights in Elko as an exploration
geologist workin' on the Carlin Trend gold deposits back in the 1980's-90's ...
You caught Elko in one of those boom moments ... the giant polar bear at the Commercial Hotel is classic,
along with the shot of the Stockmen's Hotel/Casino ... d'em wer the daze ... there was a
vibrance back then unique to Elko ... you caught a lot of it ... Nevada is an unique place,
both geographically and temporally ... if ya haven't passed through Elko, ya need to take
a "cruise" on I-80 in Nevada ...

Thanks, glad you liked, I serviced both Stockman and Commercial Every Monday after midnight
(Pest control) and various other jobs later in the 90's after that,(Driving a cab, and then later with Armadillo Express driving train crews around) got to know the locals pretty well, most were good folks. Especially "Tex" Bellamy, the porter at Stockmans.

Even tried a job with a geologist crew, running long wires through the sagebrush to sensor pots in the ground, looking for iron ore deposits?
Didn't last long, very physical work!
