San Francisco Belt/State Belt History Question..

Hi All,
Does anyone recall when the SF Belt/State Belt stopped receiving cars via car float?  In other words, what year did that car float dock at Pier 43 go out of service?

Service to Pier 43 lasted at least to 1981. Traffic was primarily covered hoppers to Bauer & Schweizer Malting Co. but they closed down that year.
