1 --  A Rock Island GP40 still looking OK in RI's last summer (1979) at Council Bluffs.

2 --  GP40X, the flaired Geep, at San Bernardino in 1981.

3 --  A pair of SP GP9s working at Colton in 1983.

Very nice set of photos.
You're right, some of the RI units were very clean in the last years.
