On a cloudy day in December of 1969, Frank Tribbey was spending some time on a Frisco mainline at an unknown location. Amongst a mix of trains was a surprise with SLSF 2 bringiong up the rear behind the caboose. Frank was living in Oklahoma City at the time so this could be in Oklahoma but I can't think of a town based off the grain elevator and depot. He did get around and could have been in the Missouri or Kansas area.

1) Three U30B's lead a train past a small unknown depot with some boxcars spotted for loading in the background.

2) A passing shot revealing 810 third out.

3) SLSF 2 marks the rear behind the caboose where a crew member watches the rest of his train.

That is nice! The second two units are U25B's, though.

Looks like it may be a west bound in Altus, OK heading toward Quanah, TX.  The signaled road crossing is South Main (highway 283). The elevator belonged to Louis Dreyfus but is now owned by Planters Coop headquartered in Lone Wolf. The depot would have been on the north side of the track east of the highway.  Just past the elevator, the track curves to the southwest so it fits.  Not certain, but it sure looks like it.
