Nostalgia & History > a couple of tea kettlesDate: 09/19/19 08:36 a couple of tea kettles Author: santafe199 While homeward bound from Northern Colorado a while back I kept my eyes open for anything. But I wasn’t expecting to find any old tea kettles along the way. Especially not 2 of them. I was able to get ID info for one of them, an old Great Western switcher who apparently had a sibling up in Billings, MT ( https://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?11,4707159,4707159#msg-4707159 ). But the other had no markings at all. Anyone with RR & engine # info please step right up…
1. & 2. GW 109 sits behind chain link fencing in Ovid, CO. 3. Unknown entity, cute lil ol’ thang! Information anyone??? On display in Sterling, CO. (3 photos taken July 31, 2019) Thanks for the help! It doesn't lend them to be something kids could play on like all the other old steam engines saved back in the day.

According to steamlocomotive.info, it's another Great Western dinky: https://www.steamlocomotive.info/vlocomotive.cfm?Display=292 Date: 09/20/19 11:50 Re: a couple of tea kettles Author: santafe199 Evan_Werkema Wrote: > ... Thanks for the link. I'm a bit surprised it doesn't have some kind of eng ID number. Lance Date: 09/20/19 20:07 Re: a couple of tea kettles Author: Evan_Werkema Most online sources seem to refer to it by its Davenport builder's number, 2121. See also:
