Nostalgia & History > Train 117 on the KPDate: 09/20/19 09:31 Train 117 on the KP Author: rock4310 Here is a photo of UP's train 117 blasting through Hays, Kansas on August 1, 1978. U30C's and Frisco's SD-45s were a common sight during this time. The Hays City Flour Mills burned down long ago, now it is a small park next to the tracks. Water tower is gone also, replaced by a much larger one northeast of town.
