RI and Santa Fe at HB&T shops

Rock Island U30C 4597, Santa Fe GP7 and 4 B units are in the Houston Belt & Terminal shops in Houston.
Even a Cotton Belt engine is there.

Your're right - I'm glad I still had it.
This was "another day at the Belt shops".
But with engines I would love to see again.

I might have caught a short ride in that SP Tunnel Motor. I was in middle school when a train stopped at North Houston with one as a trailing unit. I knew the engineer and asked to come up into the cab. They had a set out to do, so I rode with them until they were done then watched them highball into Houston. The things a 13 year old could do then....
