Nostalgia & History > Questions 2, Lehigh ValleyDate: 10/09/19 21:20 Questions 2, Lehigh Valley Author: MartyBernard I have almost no information on this train. Any help welcomed. The closest locomotive looks like a 2-8-2 and the number on the cab looks like a 4000 series, which Lehigh didn't have. The railroad did have Mikados in the 400 series.

This Ore was consigned to the Bethlehem Steel plant in Bethlehem,PA. I would guess that this is on the grade near Diamondtown,PA. Looks like 3 - 4000 series Class R-1 2-10-2s. What a fantastic shot !
