Most of the 6 axles were but Collinwood in Cleveland did a lot of repair and servicing as well. Four axle Alco assignments were at several facilities depending on model type. C425s and RS27s at Conway, C424s at Brier Hill, RS32s at DeWitt, etc. The big six axles, at least the few that remained at the end, did get moved from Conway to run on the Messena line. I've got slides taken back then, and there was a one and only trip to Conway. ALCOs were of some interest, but not a super high priority.
