Nostalgia & History > B&O east of BaltimoreDate: 11/10/19 11:40 B&O east of Baltimore Author: thebluecomet A few days ago I posted several images of the B&O from Philly west to the bridge over the Susquehanna. Today, I'll finish from the river bridge to the east side of Baltimore, MD.
1. 6509 and a SD40 drop a cut of hoppers for interchange with Conrail at Perryville, MD. October 24, 1980. 2. C&O SD40 7529 swinging around the curve at the very west end of the bridge. GP40 4024 splits the classic B&O signals while descending the grade eastward toward the bridge at Havre de Grace, MD. July 1976.

Date: 11/11/19 01:34 Re: B&O east of Baltimore Author: ClubCar I enjoyed all the photos along the B&O. That passenger Geep was sometimes used with the Commuter Trains in operation from Baltimore down to Washington, D.C. at that time.

BTW, the second unit in the last photo is actually a GP38... B&O 4800-4819 were GP38s, |
