Minutes West of famed Enola yard, Penn Central EMD SD40 6080 & ALCo C628 6308 are rolling tonnage along the ex-Pennsylvania Railroad's "MIddle Division".

The 6308 is proving it's not really interested in what "Tier" it's in.

Perdix, Pennsylvania.
March, 1974.

Awesome!  Brings back memories.  When we use to go there when I was a kid I was always on the lookout for the big Alco's.

Great catch. The smoking ALCO adds to the history.

West end of "Cove". When the daughter attended Penn State we would drive there several times during the year and stop at Cove. It was an opportunity to change the the little brother's diaper and take a break but best of all watch Conrail doing its thing. Lots of video shot there, should have been shooting 35mm, Oh Well!
