SP Tower 115

This is the then abandoned Tower 115 where the Sunset Route crossed the SA&AP in Eagle Lake,Tx. It also controlled the Santa Fe Cane Belt Railway crossing.
The second shot is looking west on the abandoned SA&AP line.
The tower was built in 1925, closed in 1990 and torn down in 1996.

Good shots. My wife and I visited this location around 1991 and all the controls were still in place inside the tower. We were thinking the tower was going to be saved. Oviously not.

Quite the hub Eagle Lake. I so greatly appreciate the way you captured my old stomping grounds when I failed to capture them on film myself.
