A PC railroader (former NYC Railroader) told me they didn't like these cars as the steps were narrower than the NYC cars.

Most of those tracks in the first photo seemed full of equipment destined for the scrap yard or Hollidaysburg by the time I paid my first visit to Huntingdon several years later. My visits were mostly on weekends but I don't recall a local serving the place - must have taken place on the weekdays. |
