Nostalgia & History > Happy Thanksgiving - A&BBDate: 11/28/19 06:13 Happy Thanksgiving - A&BB Author: refarkas It is the late 1960's/early 1970's in Barberton, Ohio at the Akron and Barberton Belt engine facility. On the left is A&BB 28 (Baldwin S12) with A&BB 5408 (ex-PRR ALCO RS-3) behind it. To the right of A&BB 28 is N&W 2547 (ex-NKP ALCO RS-3).

That's a good one for Thanksgiving. Gary Date: 11/28/19 07:03 Re: Happy Thanksgiving - A&BB Author: triestin Date: 11/28/19 07:46 Re: Happy Thanksgiving - A&BB Author: krm152 N&W #2547 certainly has an intimidating appearance.
Thanks for the Thanksgiving post. ALLEN Date: 11/28/19 09:34 Re: Happy Thanksgiving - A&BB Author: PossumKing Thanks for that look back. Great details on the Alcos.

Posted from Android Date: 11/28/19 11:52 Re: Happy Thanksgiving - A&BB Author: refarkas While it is an almost identical photo, the N&W ALCO in mine has handrails on the front of the nose while the ALCO in yours doesn't have them. Still you posted a first-class black and white of a similar scene. Well done.
Bob Date: 11/28/19 13:57 Re: Happy Thanksgiving - A&BB Author: Evan_Werkema Way to capture a service track scene! With all those extra accessories, N&W 2547 barely looks like an RS-3 from this angle.
