Author: TAW occurred. When I got down there from the station, the engine and caboose were sitting just about there, but the caboose was not in as good a condition as the one shown. The crew told me they made a hard joint and did some damage. I expected broken windows and stuff strewn around the inside. Looking at the picture, a vivid recollection of standing right there looking at the totally incredible sight came to mind. It must have been metal-sheathed wood. It was rare before the yard crew made that move. Then it was extinct. TAW |
