In scanning thousands of unprinted negatives, the box like workhorses of so many fleets keep begging for more attention. I was sure the GG1 was my most photographed power, but am now convinced it was the GP9. The sheer volume of B&O units alone may eclipse shots of any other power I ever photographed. SO...for your enligntment, and entertainment, brace for another dose of the workhorse of the B&O fleet.
top...westbound leaving Grafton, 1974 middle...New Castle Pa. 1974 bottom...back to the roots again on the Baltimore Belt line. Everything west of here on former WM was out of service at this point.
middle...on another day in 1975, an eastbound is coming off of the B&O and is now approaching former WM rails at Big Pool. bottom...eastbound local on former WM main near Porters on the line between Hanover Pa. and Baltimore, 1977 Bill Rettberg Bel Air, MD Edited 1 time(s). I also like the Eastbound coming into Grafton. I believe you took that from the foot bridge that crossed the yard and actually ran along the top of the Round House. That was a great place to hang out in Grafton. Thank You Bill !
