Another dose of the power that did it all
Author: Roadjob

Some things just can't be avoided; death, taxes, and GP9s and 7s. In scanning thousands of unprinted negatives, the box like workhorses of so many fleets keep begging for more attention. I was sure the GG1 was my most photographed power, but am now convinced it was the GP9. The sheer volume of B&O units alone may eclipse shots of any other power I ever photographed. SO...for your enligntment, and entertainment, brace for another dose of the workhorse of the B&O fleet.

Thanks for posting these. Your photos catch a certain beauty in simplicity of lines that GP7's and GP9's have that I believe more modern locomotives lack.

Outstanding !  That "Geep Bonanza" at Point of Rocks is over the top. I also like the Eastbound coming into Grafton. I believe you took that from the foot bridge that crossed the yard and actually ran along the top of the Round House. That was a great place to hang out in Grafton. Thank You Bill !
