Picture 1, A Display of Fish Caught By a Fishing Party.  Group is posed on the observation platform at the rear of a Soo Line Railroad car. Left to right they are: unknown, Lind, unknown, Bromley, Haskell, Mrs. Haskell, Nelson, Mrs. Nelson, Swift. Note Pullman car porters at bottom corners.  Glass-Plate Negative.  1899.

Picture3, The 15th Minnesota Infantry Regiment Departs for War.  The soldiers are in the process of boarding a train. Their packs and equipment are clearly visible. The Spanish-American War would end one month after their departure, and they were decommissioned in 1899 without leaving the United States. Glass Plate Negative.  Photo taken in July, 1898.

I would not want to go out in a boat wearing all that bulky clothing!
