Bob Date: 02/04/20 22:25 Re: A Little Joe at Avery, ID -- Mike Bergman Author: misty1 Thanks for posting this Marty. I have been chasing the old MILW over that area for awhile. And of course most of that does not exist anymore. All that is left at Avery is a small museum and a Cafe car. Beautiful country out there.
Ed Date: 02/05/20 08:09 Re: A Little Joe at Avery, ID -- Mike Bergman Author: ntharalson Interesting photo, Marty, thaks for psoting. Notice the trailing diesels, SD40-2 and SD45 still have their original
3000 and 4000 series numbers. Makes this an extra good catch. Nick Tharalson, Marion, IA Date: 02/05/20 09:20 Re: A Little Joe at Avery, ID -- Mike Bergman Author: fbe The E72 looks to have one set of roller bearings on the lead drive axle with brass bearings on all the trailing drive axles.

That's part of the charm of the Milwaukee. They did that on their boxcabs, too. -LD Date: 02/05/20 11:49 Re: A Little Joe at Avery, ID -- Mike Bergman Author: SPDRGWfan Watching the electrics operate through those mountains must have been intoxicating.
