Nostalgia & History > BN 6325 West Hatton, WA 1993Date: 02/04/20 20:19 BN 6325 West Hatton, WA 1993 Author: BrianA BN #11 is westbound at Hatton, WA on the ex-NP between Spokane and Pasco 6-12-93 at 11:32 AM with SD40-2's 6325/7801/8129/7122 up front. This is one of the few times I let the entire train pass by. Wish I had done so with more!

Luckily I first shot it in the coulees west of Hatton before it broke down.

Tim Costello Date: 02/05/20 08:14 Re: BN 6325 West Hatton, WA 1993 Author: ntharalson Great catch of the 6325 leading. Many know this engine became BN 1976 for the Bicentennial celebration, got damaged in a wreck and became
1876. And your video shows it got the "whiteface" scheme before the merger. Many don't know it's the first SD40-2 delivered to the BN. Some claim it's actually the first SD40-2 period, although KCS 636, IIRC, is generally given that honor. And it's still around on the BNSF although I can't recall it's new numbers. Thanks for posting. Nick Tharalson, Marion, IA Date: 02/05/20 13:05 Re: BN 6325 West Hatton, WA 1993 Author: Flameout Awesome sound! The bass is really cool and something that still hasn't been captured by model sound systems.

It is fascinating to see the differences in the intermodal equipment used from 27 years ago.
