Crawford hill 1984.
Author: hank

A southbound coal train with helpers near the top of Crawford hill near Belmont, Nebraska June 16, 1984.  It takes about 6 minutes for it to pass my location.  At Belmont we see two tries to drop the caboose to the rear of the train.

Thanks for viewing.

First rate video!  Man I sure miss Cascade Green.  The drop is great too.  Thanks for sharing.

Good catch!  Two U30C's in the main consist, getting rarer by then, and three C30-7's as the helpers.  Usually rated four 3000hp units,
and I only saw SD40-2's in that service.  Thanks for posting.

Purple Haze on my screen, but nice video.  I too miss those green SD40-2's, the F units of the 70's and 80's.
