Nostalgia & History > SP Train 803 in 1962Date: 02/25/20 20:15 SP Train 803 in 1962 Author: photobob I took this on a trip to Southern California on a road trip with some of my fellow photo students from SF City College back in 1962. I know we chased it up Solidad Canyon but I have no idea of this location. Train 803 was lead by four Alco DL-702/RSD 12's and an SD9.

Date: 02/26/20 08:25 Re: SP Train 803 in 1962 Author: ExStarlightHog Whoever put up the numbers was pretty sloppy. Looks like both the 8 and the 3 are upside down. I always took the time to put up the numbers correctly. You never knew when someone might be taking a photo for posterity.

and running close to compass-north. No reason to doubt his Acton location. |
