Train Master Tuesday - CNJ style

Operating on the newly instituted "Aldene" plan. CNJ 2401 recently repainted to the green Shoemaker dip job. President Shoemaker felt this would save the railroad money.

It should have. Very little masking required which means less hours of labor.
And back about that time labor cost savings was a really big deal.

Somewhere along the line the coaches lost the railroad name across the letterboard above the windows and ended up with a Lady Liberty logo at each end.

Thats a great looking train of coaches, in addition to the Train Master. Seldom seen CNJ cars in fresher condition.
