.   .   .   in summer '99, a trio of former BN U30C's, led by one of the few that got the KYLE paint scheme, were getting ready to head east out of the former Rock Island terminal town of Goodland, KS.

Neat catch.  Had to be very few that ever got the KYLE paint--at least there was a loco so we know what KYLE is intended to look like.

I remember watching the big green U30s when I was much younger but never saw one of the Kyle paint versions.  Good stuff!

19 June 1987 Kyle RR had two GP40's painted in Kyle's blue scheme.  Westbound train passed Flagler, CO, with Kyle 3103 & 3104.
