The first car was a coach baggage combine, with checked baggage. The second was a full coach. The last car, the obs, provided sleeping, dining and lounge services. The balance of the National's former through cars had been recently placed in the consist of C&O's George Washington, leaving this classy little three-car remnant on the original all B&O routing.
